Truman Close has been a deacon of SNBC for over twenty-five years.  He was formerly married to the late Carolyn "Kaye" Close, and is now married to Marilyn E. Ott.  He has served the Lord in many ways at SNBC and has taught a Sunday School class for special needs adults for over twenty years.  He and his wife, Marilyn, enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and working in CEF Good News Clubs at local elementary schools.  Truman is also active in The Gideons International.  He enjoys stories of Christian missionaries and martyrs (especially with a cup of good coffee).  Some of Truman's favorite verses are: III John 4 ; Proverbs 3:5-6; Philippians 4:6-7, and  Galatians 2:20.

Ivan Garcia - Ivan Garcia comes to us from New Jersey and has been a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church for the last five years. He has a strong desire to be used by God in whatever facet God will allow in his life that gives praise and glory to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is currently a student of Liberty University where he plans to use his education to one day lead a congregation to an intimate relationship with their Creator

Jason Weldon - With a love for missions and a heart for sharing Christ he has been to Romania and Haiti. Jason holds degrees in Divinity, Organizational Leadership and Management, and Computer Technology. Jason is married to Erin and they live in Chesapeake with their daughter Kayleigh, son Logan, and his father Steve.
